Day 1 - Airport/ Colombo

Meet and greet on arrival by our Tour East representative and transfer to Colombo. Check in at hotel. In the afternoon proceed to a City Tour of Colombo. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 - Colombo/ Polonnaruwa/ Sigiriya


Following breakfast, journey to Polonnaruwa – the second capital of Sri Lanka in the 11th and 12th centuries, and visit the Lankatilleke Vihare, Thuparama Dagoba and Gal Vihare. Proceed to Sigiriya.

Day 3 - Sigiriya/ Aunuradhpaura/ Sigiriya

After the breakfast, leave for Anuradhapura; first capital of Sri Lanka. Here you will see the remains of the Brazen Palace (which was once nine storey high) and the Sri Maha Bodhi ; a Bo Tree over 2,000 years old, grown from the branch of the very tree beneath which the Buddha attained enlightenment. Visit the ruins of the Ruwanweliseya Dagaba. See the 2nd Century BC shrine containing the Buddha’s collarbone relic, the Abhayagiriya Temple and the Jetawanaramaya Dagobas. Afterwards, view the Kuttam Pokuna or twin ponds and the Samadhi Buddha ;a statue of the Buddha in a meditative pose which is being acknowledged worldwide as a masterpiece.

Day 4 - Sigiriya/ Dambulla/ Kandy

After breakfast at hotel, enjoy a climb up the Sigiriya Rock Fortress where you will find the remains of the Palace and its environs. En-route to Kandy, explore the Dambulla Rock Cave Temple followed by a stop at the Spice Garden in Matale. Check in at the hotel upon arrival at Kandy. In the afternoon visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and watch a Kandyan Cultural Dance performance..

Day 5 -Kandy/ Pinnawela/ Kandy

Breakfast at hotel. Leave on a sightseeing tour of Kandy including the Upper Lake Drive. Visit the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawela and then visit the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 – Kandy/ Nuwara Eliya

Enjoy our breakfast and then leave for Nuwara Eliya. En-route, visit a tea factory and tea plantation where you can catch a glimpse of women plucking the tea leaves or ‘Green Gold’. Arrive at Nuwara Eliya, also known as ‘Little England’, for a late afternoon tour.

Day 7 – Nuwara Eliya/ Yala

This morning, depart for Yala after breakfast. In the afternoon, enjoy a trip to the Yala National Park or Bundala Wildlife Park. See a vast array of animals including deer, peacock, elephant, wild buffalo and catch sight of a leopard or bear if you are lucky enough. Check in at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8 - Yala/ Galle/ Colombo

After breakfast, visit the Galle Dutch Fort. Return to Colombo; or transfer to Airport; or drop off at a Beach Extension Hotel of your choice.

Day 1 - Airport/ Colombo

Day 2 - Colombo/ Polonnaruwa/ Sigiriya


Breakfast and leave for Polonnaruwa the second capital of Sri Lanka in the 11th and 12th centuries. Visit the Lankatilleke, Thuparama and Gal Vihare and also see the remains of the Royal Palace and Parakrama Samudra a huge man made water reservoir. Continue to Sigiriya or Habarana and check in at your selected hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3 - Sigiriya/ Dambulla/ Kandy

After breakfast at hotel, enjoy a climb up the Sigiriya Rock Fortress where you will find the remains of the Palace and its environs. Enroute to Kandy, explore the Dambulla Rock Cave Temple followed by a stop at the Spice Garden in Matale. Check in at the hotel upon arrival at Kandy. Day 4 - Kandy/ Nuwara Eliya

Breakfast at Hotel and take the Upper Lake Drive and then visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya. Then visit a Tea Plantation and see women plucking the ‘Green Gold’ tea leaves and a factory whilst en route to Nuwara Eliya. Late afternoon tour of Little England.Overnight stay at your selected hotel in NuwaraEliya.

Day 5 - Nuwara Eliya/ Udawlawe

Take your Breakfast at hotel and depart to Udawalawe via Ella. Check in at your selected hotel. Afternoon visit to Udawalawe National park by jeep. See a vast array of animals including deer, peacock, elephant, wild buffalo and the lucky visitors may get to see a leopard or bear.
Overnight stay at your hotel in Udawalawe.

Day 6 – Udawalawe/Ratnapura/Colombo

Breakfast and proceed to Colombo. En-route visit “Athathurusevana” the Elephant Transit Home for caring and bringing up baby elephants found abandoned in the wild until released back to the forest. Also visit a Gem Mine at Ratnapura (time permitting). Return to Colombo or transfer to Airport or drop off at Beach Extension Hotel of your choice.

Day 3 -Sigiriya/ Dambulla/ Matale/ Kandy

Enjoy breakfast before proceeding to Sigiriya and climb the Rock Fortress built by King Kasyapa (473-491 AD) – the patricide God King. Having climbed the rock you will encounter the remains of the Palace and its environs. See the famous frescoes. Enroute to Kandy, explore the Dambulla Rock Cave Temple followed by a stop at the Spice Garden in Matale. In Kandy, tour the Temple of the Tooth Relic and watch a cultural dance performance.

Day 4 - Kandy/ Colombo/ Airport

Following breakfast, embark on a Kandy City Tour including the Upper Lake Drive. Proceed to Colombo and enroute, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya. Then stop by the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawela, which is a home to elephants that were found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. Watch them take their daily bath at a nearby river. Return to Colombo or transfer to the airport for your departure.
